Kendra
Lynn [e-mail]
After spending many days locked away recording bad demos of herself,
Kendra decided to attend recording school in sunny Florida. Following the
crash course at Full Sail she worked for several years at Transcontinental
Studio and studied under renowned audio tech and studio designer, Niels
Kastor. Shortly after moving to Portland Kendra met master engineer Jeff
Stuart Saltzman and assisted on many of his recording sessions. Now that
Kendra is the studio manager of Jackpot! she also gets to pick the brain
of the legendary Larry Crane! In the past several years Kendra has had
the opportunity to work with Heroes and Villains, Quasi, Saturday Looks
Good To Me, Britt Daniel, The Fast Computers, Gill Landry, The Gossip,
Nick Jaina, Ley Lines, The Builders and the Butchers, Mr. Gnome, Holcombe
Waller and the Healers, Corin Tucker and Eddie Vedder. |

Jeff
Stuart Saltzman [e-mail]
For over fifteen years, Jeff has had a really difficult
time explaining to people what he does for a living. If pressed,
he will say he "helps people make records"–something
he has done in either the engineering or mastering capacity
for the likes of Dolorean, The Standard, Stephen Malkmus, Sleater-Kinney,
Death Cab For Cutie, Ian Moore, Menomena, Richmond Fontaine,
among many others. To save time in the future, he will probably
tell people he "works with computers." |

Jon
Cohrs [website]
[e-mail]
Jon Cohrs fell into the recording world by splicing cassettes
and looping old 1⁄2" tape on a discarded Otari tape
machine. Over the years he's played in many bands and recorded
odd music in London, Zurich, Alaska, and now Portland. He's
learned some of his tricks mixing records from British producer
Fran Ashcroft (who worked with Damon Albarn of Blur, Abbey Road
Studios, and Trident Studios). Lately, Jon's been stealing ideas
from locals Larry Crane and Jeff Saltzman. Upon losing his spleen,
he began mastering records under the assumed business name of
Spleenless Mastering. At Jackpot! Jon likes to bring his odd
collection of 7 dollar mics, his dedicated audio mulching laptop,
and other assortments of electronics to spice up sessions. He's
work with artists such as Talk Demonic, Tara Jane O'Neil, The
Roulettes, The Dykeritz, ModernState, Quiet Countries, and The
Volumes. |
